RACE
APPEARANCE: Hazel is a shapeshifting fairy with the ability to present herself as a human. As a human, she appears as a very diminutive woman at only 4'8'' in height, weighing 90lbs. She has fair freckled skin with a particular dusting on her nose and cheeks. Her hair is brown and curly with occasional blonde bleaching from how much time she spends in the sun, her eyes are hazel. ( X )PERMISSIONS
FAIRY TRAITS: Sometimes, Hazel's human form may come coupled with the traits of her fairy form. This may include green fairy wings, pink roses growing in her hair, a long white unicorn tail, a brown wooden unicorn horn and brown doeish ears. She only changes like this when she feels safe to do so. She can also shrink herself down to be palm-sized which most likely happens when she is low on magic, afraid, or eager to conceal herself from potential danger. ( X )
FAIRY FORM: Her most authentic form is her Canterwit (flower fairy) form which involves no human traits at all. In this form, she is a small ungulate creature bearing similar resemblance to a unicorn and a deer. She appears around the size of a foal (baby horse) when transformed in this way. This is Hazel appearing as the most "authentic" version of herself. ( X )
FASHION: The outfits that she wears are all very cottagecore and rural looking. She loves to wear skirts and dresses and is rarely spotted in shorts or pants.
DEMEANOUR: Hazel is a bright, warm, friendly presence who is always eager to chat to others and build new connections. Due to her own hesitance over how others may perceive her kind, she may be reluctant to reveal that she is a fairy at first impression, and will mask this by fronting as a regular human woman. Once she feels safe enough, she will be a bit more fairy-like.
SCENT: She carries a constant aroma of fragrant roses.
SCARS: Hazel has a few scars on her body - most notably burn marks. These are from humans who fear fairies using iron weapons against her in an act of aggression. She's very insecure about her scars and dislikes the reminder that her kind are so feared and loathed.
VOICE: When visiting Earth, Hazel has spent the most of her time in England and has picked up the dialect from here. Her accent is identifiable as an English one, but she's spent her time in so many different places that it's more of a mash-up. She has a soft, polite, airy and kind voice, capable of showing big enthusiasm once she gets excited.
SEXUALITY & PREFERENCES: Hazel is bisexual with a preference towards men. She's happy to smooch both and all in-between, but she's particularly drawn towards quiet cold stoic types.
SHIPPING: Yes please! Hazel yearns for love but also keeps herself from it due to her past trauma of losing all of her friends and loved ones. If she catches feelings for a person, her first instinct might be to run away and hide, but she would gradually learn to accept it.
PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Absolutely yes! She loves it!
HUGGING: She definitely won't object to a nice hug!
KISSING: Hazel adores kissing, but she doesn't really kiss her friends unless they're okay with it.
FLIRTING: She isn't really a flirt, but she is also very dense so if someone flirts with her, it might take a moment for her to catch on. Enjoy her blushing up into a frenzy once she realises what's happening! Rarely, she might be the one to initiate - likely after a drink or two.
SMUT: Absolutely! Hazel has spent hundreds of years enjoying one night stands and living a promiscuous lifestyle. She may be all flowers and sweet, but she loves a good roll in the sheets. Around early Spring time, she enters a brief window where her kind experiences a mating season - while this is happening, the flowers that she grows produce an aphrodisiac pollen. Usually, she isolates herself in this time to spare others the effects, but sometimes she may be unable to resist the urge to indulge. This lasts around two weeks.
PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: She is a pacifist and will be reluctant to fight at all costs, unless in-line with the game's cause or to protect another. Plz don't attack the flower fairy.
OFF LIMITS: I don't want to play anything involving extreme violence, gore and body horror. Thank you!

❝ ENFPs are warm, enthusiastic people, typically very bright and full of potential. They live in the world of possibilities and their enthusiasm lends them the ability to inspire and motivate others. They love life, seeing it as a special gift, and strive to make the most out of it. ENFPs are usually extraverted and highly agreeable, leading others to describe them as enthusiastic, sociable, friendly, playful and jovial. ENFPs also tend to be highly expressive in their words and body language, seen sometimes as spirited and dramatic all the way to exhibitionist and theatrical. ❞Hazel is a kindhearted and well-meaning fairy, without a single bad bone in her body unlike the assumptions of fairies made in storybooks. A true pacifist and free spirit, she greatly dislikes conflict and has a child-like view of the world due to her seemingly endless optimism - she can see the beauty in just about everything. She is warm, open minded, compassionate and endlessly curious with a genuine interest in others.
Various folk cultures and traditions assign symbolic meanings to plants and flowers. These meanings are synonymous with Hazel and her kind - as flower fairies, they carry certain characteristics that are represented by their flower. In her case, she grows pink roses, which symbolise "desire, passion, joy of life, youth, energy." These traits all describe Hazel to a T - she is youthful, energetic, passionate, has an appetite for desire and is filled with joy for life. In every way, she is the personification of a pink rose.
ABILITIES
FLOWER GROWTH
As a flower fairy, flower growth is Hazel's primary power. Canterwit are creatures who have their magic fuelled by positive emotions and experiences. The happier she is and the more that people enjoy the flowers she grows, the more power she has. The passive act of someone smelling or admiring a flower that she has grown will strengthen her magic. She keeps her magic hidden to the best of her ability when she is disguised as a human, but sometimes she may sneeze and summon the appearance of pink rose petals. Flowers also bloom when she feels intense emotions. In her fairy form, pink roses grow all around her when she's happy (in her hair, on the ground, etc.)TRANSFORMATION
Hazel is a shapeshifter, capable of controlling her form with limitations. While mingling with humans, she mostly appears disguised - with no visible 'fairy' traits on show as a regular human woman. Like all fairies, she can alter her size into being a palm-sized sprite. For fun, she likes to transform into other earthly creatures as well - most commonly a deer, a dog, a horse and a wolf.OFFENSIVE & DEFENSIVE MAGIC
While Canterwit are usually gentle and friendly creatures, they've learned through past experiences that the ability to defend one's self is a necessary life skill while navigating a world that isn't as kind as their own. For offensive magic, Hazel has the ability to summon vines and make them grow thorns alongside plant magic attacks. Her weapon of choice is a bow lined with flowers - the arrows that she shoots can physically affect her target if she desires. With her magic, she can cause her arrows to inflict poison or paralysis. She's also capable of using healing magic and as a pacifist, she prefers this.WEAKNESSES
There are several fairy-repellants which harshly affect a fairy like her. Iron is the worst offender - any contact of iron to Hazel's skin will badly burn her. She greatly dislikes bread and will avoid it at all costs. Bread is associated with industry and the taming of nature, and as such, seems to be disliked by some types of fairies. She also dislikes bell chimes - especially church bells. The ringing of bells can confuse and disorient her.
STORY & LORE

At the start of Spring, Canterwit leave their home realm of Anther to travel to Earth (or other lands) to grow their flowers, and by Autumn they are exhausted and return home to recharge their magic. As their magic is strengthened by positive emotions, they participate in uplifting activities to prepare them for the next Spring cycle! To encourage their passions and friendships, Canterwit align themselves into one of four houses for friendly competition. Hazel is a member of house Rostherne - a house that values creativity and passion for the arts.
Many moons ago, her home realm of Anther was attacked by dragons who wanted to steal their magic. It lead to a war between both sides in order for the Canterwit to protect their home. With the help of their Goddesses, the Canterwit won against the dragons, but not without great loss. All of Hazel's friends and family that she had known for hundreds of years had perished during the war - set ablaze by the dragons. As a result, she became a recluse - and feared making friends in case they disappeared.
Over time, Hazel began to open up and build friendships once again, but she still kept everyone at an arm's length. Because of her trauma, she developed the logic that if she's not close to anyone at all, then losing them will never hurt as badly as it did back then. But this decision to keep everyone distant is a great source of conflict and pain for Hazel. She craves love and companionship, aspiring to settle down and start a family one day. She feels trapped in a loop that she can't break out of. Every time a new year rolls around and she leaves Anther to grow her flowers, she entertains the idea of staying past when the leaves turn brown instead of rushing off home. But every single time, she'll leave, and rarely return to the same place more than once. She can only ask herself: "How long will I keep running from my past? Will I ever find true happiness?"
